House rules Villa Mina Curaçao

Welcome to Villa Mina Curaçao! We want your stay to be carefree, comfortable, and safe. Therefore, we have established a number of house rules:

We kindly ask you to dispose the garbage bags closed in the (green) garbage container, this is located right next to the driveway of the house. We recommend changing the trash every two to three days.
Store food in the refrigerator whenever possible. In the tropics, ants and pests tend to bother you quickly, plus things spoil much faster. If you store anything outside the refrigerator, make sure they are properly sealed.

Our villa is not a party venue. Parties or gatherings that cause nuisance to neighbors are not allowed.
Please no music or noise between 10pm in the evening and 8am in the morning.
Misuse may result in denial of access or early termination of stay, without refund.

Guests under 23 years of age are welcome only when accompanied by an adult 25 years of age or older or with written permission from landlord.
Bookings of groups under 25 years old without supervision and/or written permission may be cancelled without refund.

Pets are unfortunately not allowed (with the exception of guide dogs).
Smoking is not allowed inside. Smoking is allowed outside, provided it does not cause a nuisance. Please use an ashtray.
Are you smoking inside? Then we will charge a deep cleaning fee of at least €250.

The environment is safe. Of course, you should take normal precautions just like at home. Lock doors and park the car in the driveway behind the gate (lock the gate, also in connection with possible stray dogs).
Do not leave valuables in the car and put everything out of sight.
If the bedrooms are not used, please turn off the air conditioning. Electricity and water are very expensive in Curaçao and for the environment it is better to use them in moderation. You will notice by the high location of the apartment that opening the windows or shutters is enough to create a pleasant climate.
We use Pagatinu (a prepaid power system on Curaçao). Per day 15kWh is included, which is average power consumption. If more is consumed, for example by the air conditioning that is on for a long time, this is of course no problem, but then the remaining consumption will be charged at 0.55 euros per kWh and will be deducted from the deposit. The initial balance will be noted at start and the final balance at departure and will be shared with the tenant.
Both accommodations have a safe for valuables. Villa Mina Curaçao is not liable for loss or theft, including from the safe.

As a guest you are responsible for yourself, your company and your visitors.
Any damage to the accommodation or surroundings, loss of keys or other additional costs may be charged to you.
Villa Mina Curaçao is not liable for accidents, injury, loss or damage due to personal negligence or force majeure (such as crime, fire or weather conditions).
Villa Mina Curaçao is not liable for:
- Theft, damage or loss during the rental period of the apartment.
- Accidents in and around the apartment/Villa.
- Temporary failures of equipment in and around the apartment/Villa and temporary failures in power or water supply.
- Force majeure of any kind.
The renter is liable during the rental period for damage caused by him to the apartment/Villa, the pool, the garden or the contents. Damages must always be reported, even if the tenant himself (can) be repaired. Self-repair is not allowed. If the damage during the stay is caused by your fault, we will charge the repair or replacement costs. Damages reported on time (i.e. on site to the manager) totaling less than €25 will not be charged. Unreported damages will be charged in full.
The landlord has insured the house and the inventory belonging to the landlord against the usual risks and at the usual conditions with a local insurance company. The tenant's belongings are not insured on this insurance. We recommend that you take out proper travel insurance.

Treat Villa Mina Curaçao as if it were your own home.
No diving and no bombing in the pool, the pools are not built for this.
If you have been in the pool and the swimwear is still wet/damp, please do not use the indoor furniture in the apartment as we use comfortable fabric upholstery.
If something breaks from the tableware, it is no problem and can happen, but we would like you to report it to us so that we can make sure that the guest after you has everything at hand.
If you notice that something is not working please let us know, even if you don't need it yourself, so we can fix it for the next guests.
Please report any damage or imperfections right away - that way we will fix it quickly for you and you avoid any confusion afterwards.
We ask you to treat all our property with care. Damage, loss or excessive soiling will be deducted from the deposit or in case of greater damage, charged.
Drugs or laughing gas are not allowed and we will call the police immediately if found.
Please leave your accommodation tidy upon departure.
